SKID...

This morning my mom, Sophia and I went to Hannah's (my sister) high school to watch a program, called SKID, that she was a part of. It's put on by Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue and reenacts a drunk driving crash after high school kids go to a party and drink. They go to many different high schools right around Prom time and put this program on. It's a pretty amazing thing and hopefully touches the hearts of a lot of kids and shows them the danger of drinking and driving. Fire trucks, ambulances, police and life flight are all involved, as well as the medical examiner and the coroner. They go through everything that would happen at a crash the involves a fatality including cutting people out of the car, life flighting one person away, and bagging up the "dead" student putting him into a hearse. Hannah was in the car that is first on the scene of the accident before the police and firemen get there. She told us later her job was to call the guy, that dies, parents and tell them he has been in a car crash. Here is a You Tube link showing a little bit of what you see.
