Christmas...

We started celebrating Christmas the week before.  All the Rider's got together for our usual white elephant, bingo playing, card playing, and eating celebration.  Almost everyone was there this year, we were just missing Grandma and Grandpa Rider, Jayden, and Jaycee.  Not bad!

The next Christmas on our list was Rider/Ryan.  This was just Matt's parents, sister, and her family.  Easy going, laid back night and morning. I think the highlight for Sophia was getting the Barbie wedding set she has been asking for for months now.

Waiting patiently by the tree to open presents.  She was quiet the trooper over Christmas, not feeling well and slightly feverish.

(a box of animal cookies.  Jaylin and Wayne gave her a box for her second Christmas, she was so thrilled with it she didn't care about any other presents.  Now it's tradition that she gets a box from them every year.)

Christmas Eve began with stockings at the Riders, our annual brunch with the Millers (which I took no photos at), candlelight service at church, then off to the annual crab feed with all the neighbors.  

This was a video they showed at our candle light service.  I loved it!

Christmas day was spent with the Bolands.  We did our usual Christmas morning breakfast with the neighbors, then we spent the day relaxing at my parents.  My Aunt, Uncle, and cousin joined us, and the two Matt's did all the cooking, but we kept the day pretty low key and relaxing.

And last, but not least was Miller Christmas, which was celebrated the day after Christmas.  We ate yummy clam chowder and taco soup (tradition), played bingo and did a white elephant gift exchange...
