Ohio or Bust...

Right now Sophia and I are visiting "Auntie Holly" in Ohio! We have been having a great time here. We arrived Wednesday evening after a very long day of travel. Soph was a pretty good travel partner, but she chose not to sleep at all while we were flying. And when you have a 1 year old that was woken up at 4:30am, who doesn't sleep while flying, things can get a little tricky. Luckily we had very understanding people sitting around us who didn't mind being kicked, touched, waved at, and colored on. Thursday we headed over to the Columbus Zoo and saw some really cool animals. We got there around 12:30 and about an hour into visiting the animals Sophia was getting really sleepy, so we only saw about half of the zoo. We made sure to hit the aquarium, and Sophia really wanted to see monkeys so we spent about a half an hour with the gorillas. They were very entertaining! Friday we hit a really neat outside mall not far from Holly's house, then we had a really nice dinner with her parents that night. Saturday we went to a part of town called Short North. It reminds me of NW23rd(one of Holly's favorite part of Portland), but it also has a really cool indoor market where we had lunch and some yummy ice cream. Last night we went to Holly's friends house to watch the Ohio State football game, and as usual Sophia was the crowd pleaser. She played with her baby the whole time, but everyone got a kick out of her mommy skills. So far we have had a fabulous time and can't believe how fast the time has gone.
